| Hey guys,
I'm a first time commish starting a new league of some of my old high school buddies. Were going to do a live draft at a buddies' pool, and I was hoping to ask y'all for help.
Needing help with the draft board, any of y'all have experience in how to do this? Should I make my own, how do I make my own, should I buy one online, any recommendations? |

| Oof, 36 bucks. Wonder if I can make one for cheaper (though all those labels might suck to make)
Thanks! It's definitely an option. |

| Never done a love draft. If you have a home printer. You could buy labels with a sticky back. Print the names off as the players are chosen and then stick on the board. |

| You Must download Fandraft.com. It's like $20 bucks the first year then cheaper every year after. Without it it's like having a fantasy league in the old days with no website. Team logos pop up when they make picks. It tracks everything. Has the clock and voice announcer. One click at the completion of the draft and the results are emailed to everyone. It automatically uploads your rosters to your MFL website if you run it there. Feels like the real draft. HDMI cord hooks up to a projector or if you don't have one to a tv. Another website is primetimedraft draft. It's about the same cost without logo and music downloads. It's a option if you want a real quick and easy set up. You can download a trial which is 2 rounds in both for free. Since your at a pool and lighting may be a concern then draft board with stickers. Years ago before I found fandraft I went with commishkit.com and you get a draftboard with stand and 2" x 5" stickers. If you could find a babe in a bikini posting the stickers well it may go over well |

| That's a great rundown. A lot of good stuff that I haven't heard of before. I've lost track ever since making the change to strictly online leagues. I got tired of playing in leagues where the first overall pick was Kevin Faulk. |

| Computers and pools...sound like a solid idea. lol. Plus outside, it's going to be hard enough to see your own computer screen let alone a large digital/community screen from something like fandraft.
1 of my live leagues uses the board that Shawn put up or maybe from draftkit.com. IDK, there's a million of them. It's a lot better. It's much more fun to watch a team get up, walk over to the stickers and put up who they are going to draft as there is a little more anticipation and a better "hands-on" experience. About 4 years ago the commish in this league was busy and didn't order the board/stickers on time, so he ordered the digital one from fandraft. It wasn't nearly as fun and everyone wanted the old board/stickers again. Needless to say, we've never gone back to digital.
So it's $36 or $50. Whatever. Divide the cost between the 12 teams and everyone can pitch in $3-$4. |

| Our league was just the opposite. Once we got fandraft hooked up to a projector I bought on ebay and displayed on a huge screen not one owner wanted to go back to stickers. If you do an auction then for sure fandraft is the way to go. Stickers can't keep track of money. Anyway to each their own I guess. If you go with stickers is suggest spending the extra for the big labels and bigger board. |

| Just wanted to give an update. We went the board route with stickers from savethedraft.com. People loved it, so thanks for all the suggestions on what to do! [also, this is how I ended up. 12 team, .5ppr. My first time ever taking Calvin Johnson, excited] That's Helu at the bottom.4 |
